How much is postage?
Postage is charged at a single flat rate of $10.00 (+$2.50 for registered post) within Australia, regardless of the size of the order. International orders are charged at cost.
How are the items freighted?
We use Australia Post for most typical orders. We may use a courier service for large orders if it is more economical.
Are freighted items registered?
If you select the "Registered Post" option. We do not accept responsibility for non-registered items once they are posted.
What is the delivery time for my purchase?
All items will be packaged and freighted on the next business day.
How do I make payment?
Credit Card is the most convenient form of payment. Simply add the items you wish to purchase to your online shopping cart, and once finished, select "Checkout" and follow the prompts. If you are not a member of PayPal, simply look out out for the bolded heading 'Don't have a PayPal account?' and follow the prompts from there.
Is it safe to use my Credit Card online?
We utilise PayPal, one of the largest online credit card merchant services in the world.
You do not need to be a member of PayPal to make payment.
Does Herp Books purchase second-hand books?
We are very interested in purchasing any old, out-of-print or rare herpetology related books, items or paraphernalia. Please contact us with what you have available.
Are we able to pick items up?
At this stage we do not offer a pick-up service. However, we regularly attend herpetology related events throughout Australia (e.g. Wild Expo, Scales and Tails annual event etc) where you can arrange to pick your purchases up.
Are you able to issue a post-paid invoice?
Invoices will be issued to legitimate, established businesses, institutions or facilities. The decision to issue an invoices lies solely with Herp Books, and will not be extended to unknown individuals.
I do not wish to pay via Credit Card. Am I able to pay another way?
You stock husbandry guides to exotic species, aren't they illegal?
Herp Books strive to maintain a large, diverse selection of books. A large portion of our business is to overseas customers who keep 'exotic' species. Whilst we do not support the illegal keeping of exotic species in Australia, we have no reservations in selling husbandry manuals to Australian keepers.
